First of all, those of you who know me will be a bit surprised to see me in all black. I am not really a “All black everything” kind of person. So for some this comes easily. Like I hear almost everyday here in Holland… I love wearing black, black is my colour. What’s surprising is when I see young teenagers say “I only wear all black”. Seriously, what happened to those days when you could commit any fashion blunders and blame it on “Oh I was young”. Isn’t this the time to experiment, be bold and refine your style.

My personal style has been through a lot of different phases. Now that I think of it, I try to replicate my emotions into my style. So I had my days of feeling rebellious and fierce too.

So coming back to all black everything. It’s not that I don’t like the colour black it’s just that I love other colours a lot too. I don’t see black as safe colour, I see it more classic and special! So today I am showing you guys a little version of  black outfit for a day/night out. I would still keep things interesting… like layering on black & black, different tones and texture.

New babe alert! And this time it’s not about french girl style. We have officially moved on to this thing called “Gucci Girl”. We love all things gucci. We take inspiration from the shoes, skirts, prints and styling. I feel I am more of Gucci girl. I mean don’t get me wrong, I still love my black breton tees, black coats & loafers. But this I consider bare basic. Wherein you don’t need to think about how and it just happens. Do you know what I mean?

How often have you guys seen me with all black outfit. Almost never! I have always been attracted to colours and prints and patterns. After all, living in India did teach me to love colours and prints. So coming back to my today’s look… Here I am! Once again polka dotting with bit of a Gucci flair. Hope you guys enjoy these pictures as much I do. Let me know what you think?

Pink dress Topshop, Shoes Topshop

We found the most controversial dress ever and we love it! It’s a slightly long coat but short enough for a perfect dress.  What is not to love about this dress. Well for some, sexy doesn’t have to be body hugging. I want to be in a dress that makes me feel sensual without actually sucking the life without of me.

This year has been crazy. Summer decided to come uninvited for Autumn. And we seriously think Autumn is mad. But hey, who cares. We are loving it. So if you going on date night with your sweetheart we want to make sure you feel cool like cucumber. This is dress is effortless and hassle free. So put on your dress and pick your best heels.

This week again going to be nice and warm, hope everyone gets the chance to enjoy the last days of summer!

Morning lovers!

Hope everyone had a good week. Well, here in Holland the summer has just started. We had such an incredible week. Summer brings lots of colours and good vibes all around us and not to forget even in our wardrobe. Soon the days will get shorter and colder and sooner we will not want to wear our colourful flowery clothes. Unless, you are Iris Apfel. Btw it’s a good thing to be her.

So here is the trick to transition dressing. Especially, If you have such crazy in between weather like Holland. Remember this “It’s never too early to buy sweaters”. In between weather will bring unexpected showers and chill in the air. So be prepared. One minute it will look all sunny and next thing you know it starts pouring outside. So keep things colourful and summery with touch of comfort. I am so in love with my pink skirt. It’s a perfect length for all weather and a very versatile piece to style. Adding a chunky or fluffy sweater will give you quick autumn fix.

So this autumn don’t be afraid to bring out your summer clothes and style them like it’s cold outside 😉

Happy week everyone!

Our guide to Roermond Designer outlet

So we went on a day trip to Roermond and here is our guide.

Plan your trip

It takes about 2 hours to get to Roermond with train or by car. So make sure you plan this on your day off and have all the time in the world to enjoy this little town. I would say do your share of research or get to know the brands and what to expect out of this trip. Check their website Roermond Designer outlet for brands and special offers.

How to get there?

I think taking a train is the best option. It’s a 2 hours train ride so make sure you have enough supplies of food, drinks and company. Be wise who you choose to go with because the ride is long and the outlet expedition is longer. So you don’t want to stuck with someone who is not going to enjoy shopping as much as you do.

Make a list and prioritise!

So once you get to Roermond you will be overwhelmed with the choices. This could lead to circling around and not knowing what to get. So I went with a plan. I knew I was looking for a bag and my first choice was Prada, which by the way was my final choice too 😉 . Anyhow, the point is know what you want and go through all the choices before you make that final call. So we first went to Prada and then Furla, Coach, Dolce and Gabbana, Gucci, Michael Kors and everything else.

Our favourite brands

Honestly, the outlets can some time be a bit of led down. Because all of them are not good enough. Thank us later but we are going to save you from the horror of not walking into everything. So our 10 favourites were Prada, Calvin Klein Underwear, Gucci, Coach, Furla, Michael Kors, Dolce & Gabbana, Body Shop, Levis & Nike. And 2 stores that really disappointed us were Tommy Hilfiger & Adidas.

We had such a good experience! We are sure going back 🙂

So here I am, perfect outfit with a random post. Well, hope you guys don’t mind me being a bit off  beat today. It’s my birthday and I do what I want to. Haha.. So I am feeling a bit valunerable today and hope thats okay with you.

Vulnerability is the birthplace of innovation, creativity and change.

Vulnerability is the scary thing. It’s to be able to share yourself and make yourself vulnerable and to make yourself vulnerable is to show your strength. It was a year ago that I went on this journey of blogging. Honestly, it took about 6 months before I showed my blog to public. I talked about it a lot to people but it took a lot of courage to be able to finally say “Here I am”. My intention when I started this blog was to be real and build connect with you all.

It’s a year and I am not leaving. So let me know if you think their is anything I can add or do more to keep you going on this journey with me.

Sneakers are everywhere. Once upon a time wearing sneakers with dress was considered cool. I feel we have over played our obsession for  Adidas Stan Smith and Nike Air force 1 to another level. I use to be super excited about styling a unusual combination with my Nike Air force 1. But some how I don’t feel the same. It’s more like getting over your crush and wanting to fall in love all over again. New love is the best love. You feel excited, nervous and look forward to new adventures. Well all this came true when I found my new love. Loafers. Yes, Pink Loafers! Thank you for reminding me what butterflies feel like. I am truly excited and look forward to our adventures together.

I am in love with this shoe. They are comfortable as sneakers, but I find them bit more badass and bold. They mean everything to me. Hope you guys find your true love.

How to master a street style look?

Good morning lovers,

How is everyone doing? Well, last few days have been crazy for me. We have finally moved into our new apartment. I am super excited about this new chapter!

Let’s get straight into the matter. Today I want to talk about all things street and style. Are you also obsessed with street style pictures. Well, I spend most of my free time going through street style pictures, especially the ones from fashion week. As much as I love the runway shows, I personally think street always does it better. Street style is all about knowing your style and customising each look to fit your personality. On the streets we do it bigger, louder brighter and some time all of it together. I really believe that these street style expertise are the most creative people in fashion. They are not afraid to try and experiment. Street always brings the freshness and newness to a existing trend.

If you have realised most of my pictures have this edgy street style flavour to it. The reason being, A: I wear the looks that I post. B: I am exactly the same person in pictures and walking around town getting shit done. Unless it’s an editorial where I most probably have the weirdest clothes or no clothes. haha.. Nay just kidding. So to smash a street style look you first need to have personal style. But finding your personal style is like finding that thing that almost doesn’t exist. To get their you have to dig deeper and experiment a lot, commit some fashion blenders. Oh well, now I am just exaggerating a bit. Honestly, personal style doesn’t knock at your door and say I am here, I believe you have to find it. For some it just comes easy like Alexa Chung. So take lessons from the masters of street style, experiment a few and stick to the ones you feel comfortable and you in it.

Hope this gets you experimenting! Until next week 🙂

How I style sundresses for summer

Sundress by Topshop, Denim Jacket Vintage, Shoes Nike, Necklace my own, Sunglasses Celine

You think I fell in love with this sundress just because it says Sun. Haha… I guess I am excited because it finally feels like summer here in Amsterdam. Sundresses for summer is a always a good idea! This year I found my all white summer dream in Topshop. The minute I laid my eye on it, I fell in love. I love everything about this dress it’s summery, white, mid length  and comes with a bow. So you know what I will be wearing the most this summer.

A great dress is nothing without a good styling. If the outfit is styled well then I believe it’s unbeatable. In this world of fast fashion and social media, you need to have a good sense of style. You need to make it your own and own it! I am so done seeing patch on everything; jackets, jeans  & denim. And it all looks the same. The denim jacket in this pictures is vintage and worked on by a friend. The one thing I love the most about this are the small Indian details.

So go ahead and create something that says you!

Pajamas all day!

Pajama Blazer by Topshop, Bag by Zara, Shoe by Topshop, Necklace by Shop Lune

What do you think people who wear pajamas in public have given on life or living it to the fullest? I am going to have to say, FULLEST! Last week I wore this outfit to work and I fell in love. 9 hours in this suit and I start to think, what took me so long to wear my pajamas to work? In fact, I am thinking of getting myself this new pajama blazer that landed in Topshop.

If you’re worried about looking sloppy, don’t be. Look to streets or Pinterest for inspiration. The point here is to keep it simple and let the hero piece do the talking. This trend is all about minimalist chic so keep your accessories simple and add nice pair of heels. If you are a busy bee like me and  have to run up and down the floors for 8 hours then skip heels for cool pair of kicks.

Will you try it?
