Is comfort dressing a thing. For me I like comfort dressing and it’s definitely my thing. Getting dress in the morning for work sometime can be messy. After all it’s a Monday! So on days like this let the comfort dressing be your thing however keep in mind to upgrade or add few fun elements like earrings, shoes etc. I have always liked jeans and sweater combo especially with some unexpected accessory.

First of all, those of you who know me will be a bit surprised to see me in all black. I am not really a “All black everything” kind of person. So for some this comes easily. Like I hear almost everyday here in Holland… I love wearing black, black is my colour. What’s surprising is when I see young teenagers say “I only wear all black”. Seriously, what happened to those days when you could commit any fashion blunders and blame it on “Oh I was young”. Isn’t this the time to experiment, be bold and refine your style.

My personal style has been through a lot of different phases. Now that I think of it, I try to replicate my emotions into my style. So I had my days of feeling rebellious and fierce too.

So coming back to all black everything. It’s not that I don’t like the colour black it’s just that I love other colours a lot too. I don’t see black as safe colour, I see it more classic and special! So today I am showing you guys a little version of  black outfit for a day/night out. I would still keep things interesting… like layering on black & black, different tones and texture.

New babe alert! And this time it’s not about french girl style. We have officially moved on to this thing called “Gucci Girl”. We love all things gucci. We take inspiration from the shoes, skirts, prints and styling. I feel I am more of Gucci girl. I mean don’t get me wrong, I still love my black breton tees, black coats & loafers. But this I consider bare basic. Wherein you don’t need to think about how and it just happens. Do you know what I mean?

How often have you guys seen me with all black outfit. Almost never! I have always been attracted to colours and prints and patterns. After all, living in India did teach me to love colours and prints. So coming back to my today’s look… Here I am! Once again polka dotting with bit of a Gucci flair. Hope you guys enjoy these pictures as much I do. Let me know what you think?

Pink dress Topshop, Shoes Topshop

We found the most controversial dress ever and we love it! It’s a slightly long coat but short enough for a perfect dress.  What is not to love about this dress. Well for some, sexy doesn’t have to be body hugging. I want to be in a dress that makes me feel sensual without actually sucking the life without of me.

This year has been crazy. Summer decided to come uninvited for Autumn. And we seriously think Autumn is mad. But hey, who cares. We are loving it. So if you going on date night with your sweetheart we want to make sure you feel cool like cucumber. This is dress is effortless and hassle free. So put on your dress and pick your best heels.

This week again going to be nice and warm, hope everyone gets the chance to enjoy the last days of summer!

Morning lovers!

Hope everyone had a good week. Well, here in Holland the summer has just started. We had such an incredible week. Summer brings lots of colours and good vibes all around us and not to forget even in our wardrobe. Soon the days will get shorter and colder and sooner we will not want to wear our colourful flowery clothes. Unless, you are Iris Apfel. Btw it’s a good thing to be her.

So here is the trick to transition dressing. Especially, If you have such crazy in between weather like Holland. Remember this “It’s never too early to buy sweaters”. In between weather will bring unexpected showers and chill in the air. So be prepared. One minute it will look all sunny and next thing you know it starts pouring outside. So keep things colourful and summery with touch of comfort. I am so in love with my pink skirt. It’s a perfect length for all weather and a very versatile piece to style. Adding a chunky or fluffy sweater will give you quick autumn fix.

So this autumn don’t be afraid to bring out your summer clothes and style them like it’s cold outside 😉

Happy week everyone!

How to wear denim cutoffs and still look like an adult

Denim shorts Topshop, Shoes Topshop, Sunglasses Celine, White shirt & other stories

Summer in holland means few days of 30 degrees with unexpected showers. However, the dutchies know how to make the most out of a good sunny day. For some reason I feel that the entire country is on a vacation and I am stuck inside working. Haha… that’s not true! I have had my fair share of good weather too 😉

So coming to the big fat question. Can denim cut offs look adult? Or Can you wear your denim cutoffs to work? So the answer is, YES! You can wear denim cut offs and still look like an adult. But choosing the right ones is the key to achieve this look. First thing you need to do is avoid everything that says Mom fit. They might sound safe but their is nothing safe about them. In fact, they ride straight up your cheek. So stay away from them! And go visit your Grandma instead. Granny shorts are the shit, they cover what needs to be covered in a cool way. If you think of wearing them to work, (only if your job is as usual as mine) then I would pair them with a crisp white shirt and statement shoes. Adding a blazer will make you feel like an office lady but just without pants!

I personally fell in love with these Girlfriend fit from Topshop. I have recommended this to many ladies and they all love them as much as I do.

I shot some pictures of myself and this is what they look like. Are you thinking why do I do what I do? Don’t get me wrong, It’s great to have a person to follow you around while you pose. However, I really do enjoy posing for myself too. It’s much more challenging to shoot self portraits and stills of your self. It’s like a run between behind the camera to the front of the lens. “Damn Daniel”, I need to get that camera remote to make my life easier.

So I love spending my days off on this kind of things. It let’s my creative juices running. I like to create stories from  my pictures and give a little bit of reality with it. I am not going to lie, this is a long and frustrating process. But you learn a lot from your mistakes. I believe practice and interest can make anything happen. So what are you waiting for, pick up that camera and get clicking. Oh, I watched tons of youtube video on self  photography so you might want to do that 😉

Summer of 2016 is all about this little flower dress. They come in all colours and different prints. One dress that does it all. This summery, sexy and versatile piece can take you through anything… summer date nights, festival,  brunches and park chills. What I like the most about this dress is that it wraps around your waist and is flattering for almost all body type.

I wear this dress so much and so often that I am thinking of getting a second one with different print and colour 😉

So here I am, perfect outfit with a random post. Well, hope you guys don’t mind me being a bit off  beat today. It’s my birthday and I do what I want to. Haha.. So I am feeling a bit valunerable today and hope thats okay with you.

Vulnerability is the birthplace of innovation, creativity and change.

Vulnerability is the scary thing. It’s to be able to share yourself and make yourself vulnerable and to make yourself vulnerable is to show your strength. It was a year ago that I went on this journey of blogging. Honestly, it took about 6 months before I showed my blog to public. I talked about it a lot to people but it took a lot of courage to be able to finally say “Here I am”. My intention when I started this blog was to be real and build connect with you all.

It’s a year and I am not leaving. So let me know if you think their is anything I can add or do more to keep you going on this journey with me.
